Scooter’s job gets a lot harder in ‘Getting Testy’
Last time on Muppets Now, we saw Danny Trejo show up to take Swedish Chef on in a food challenge. The competition really heated up, in more ways than one. Then Miss Piggy tried to show her fans how to stay in shape, and she finds out it is tougher than she thought. As this episode came to a close, Fozzy tried to give Scooter all kinds of show ideas. Now Scooter’s job gets harder in ‘Getting Testy’. I was able to watch a screener of this episode and here is what I thought of it.

Joe, the new legal counsel for The Muppets, interrupts the scheduled delivery of Muppets Now to announce that all streaming content must be vetted by a focus group. Things go from bad to worse when Scooter meets up with the assigned test audience – curmudgeonly critics Statler & Waldorf. The Swedish Chef collaborates with Chef Roy Choi as the two try to make a one-of-kind kalbi bowl. Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his assistant, Beaker, enlist a Pizza Delivery Person to explore velocity. Miss Piggy and her guests, Linda Cardellini and Taye Diggs, dig deep into the workings of a healthy relationship. Pepe The King Prawn’s unbelievable game show features new contestants, new challenges, new rules, and no planning at all.

One request from Joe in Legal makes Scooter’s job a lot harder in ‘Getting Testy’. Each sketch must be seen by a test audience first, and things go from bad to worse when he finds out who that is going to be. Miss Piggy decides to talk about relationships, and what she thinks makes a good one. Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker hava a messy good time testing out velocity with a pizza delivery guy. Pepe’s shows returns for another sketch, and nothing ends up going as planned. As this episode comes to a close, Miss Piggy tries to have an important talk with Scooter.
