The MELT Soft Roller
GMP bringing you the Goods.
—
A bunch of products rolled my way at The Good Men Project this month and I tried them all out and wanted to share my thoughts on them.
The MELT Soft Roller
I’ve used a roller for a long time to stretch out. A Pilates instructor first introduced me to the whole roller concept and showed me a lot of ways to stretch using it. I primarily used it to stretch out my back. I’ve always had a hard foam white variety of roller and thought that one roller would be it for the rest of my life. Thanks to creator, Sue Hitzmann, my old white roller has been replaced with a new and improved blue roller. The blue roller is still firm, but has a little give that allows you to sink into it more. This extra bit of give gave me a better stretch and made lying on the roller more comfortable. I highly recommend moving over to MELT if you have an old hard roller or trying this one if you don’t have one. There’s also a whole Method developed for using your MELT.

Tom’s of Maine

Tom’s of Maine Deodorant
You’re probably all familiar with Tom’s of Maine. I always think of Tom’s as synonymous with natural care products. They were pioneers in this field when their target audience was probably hippies back in 1970. Thankfully now everybody is interested in natural products and Tom’s has more and more to offer. They sent us a “goody” bag full of toothpastes and deodorants. I took Tom’s subtle hint and stepped up my personal hygiene. They make fluoride and non-fluoride toothpastes. I prefer non-fluoride and I liked their Botanically Fresh variety. I’m also interested in deodorants that don’t have aluminum. From experience (mostly bad), its hard to find an effective deodorant that I feel won’t kill me. Tom’s Mountain Spring scent really worked for me. I’ve tried it quite a bit and even smelled good after playing a round of golf in 80 degree heat. They also make deodorant sticks for boys and girls. The ingredients are so natural that I’d let my kids use them.

Zarbee’s Naturals Immune Support
Zarbee’s Naturals
I was complaining about my allergies so Zarbee’s sent me over their Elderberry Immune Support gummies. When I was a little kid I once ate a whole bottle of Flinstone chewable vitamins in one sitting, I was very tempted to do the same with these. They contain a lot of things I like and normally take such as Zinc and Vitamin C. They also supply a good deal of Vitamins A, D and E. In addition, they don’t contain some things I don’t want, mainly gelatin. Most gummies are made with gelatin and are not acceptable for vegetarians. These contained sugar, but many of their products and products for kids are sweetened with honey or xylitol. Zarbee’s are a very fun and delicious way to get your vitamins and I can’t imagine any kid not liking them. I think they taste so good that they should make a candy line. Wouldn’t it be cool to have a candy packed with vitamins?
